This page explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data for the Sauda mobile app (com.getsauda.app) and the platform at getsauda.com. Sauda is an AI-powered B2B sourcing concierge that connects global buyers with verified Indian manufacturers.

You can delete your account from inside the app, or by emailing us if you cannot access the app. Both routes are described below, along with exactly which data is deleted, which is retained, and for how long.

1. How to Request Account Deletion

1.1 In the Sauda app

  1. Open the Sauda app and sign in.
  2. Tap the Account tab.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm in the dialog that appears.

Your account is anonymized and you are signed out on all devices immediately. To also delete files you uploaded and your conversation history, send the email request described below. Section 3 lists what is deleted, what is retained, and when.

1.2 By email (no app access needed)

If you cannot open the app, email privacy@getsauda.com from the email address on your Sauda account, with the subject "Delete my account." We confirm the request by replying to that account email (so that only the account owner can trigger deletion), and we complete it within 30 days.

2. What Is Deleted vs. Retained

Deleting your account immediately anonymizes the personal data that identifies you and revokes your ability to sign in. Files and conversation history are removed when you ask us to (see the email request in section 1.2). Because Sauda is a B2B platform, some records tied to completed transactions or required by law are retained, as detailed in section 3.

2.1 Deleted when you delete your account

  • Your profile: name, email address, phone number, and profile photo are anonymized or removed.
  • Sign-in & sessions: your authentication is revoked and you are signed out everywhere; your account can no longer be logged into.
  • Push-notification device registrations are deleted.

2.2 Removed when you request it

Email us (section 1.2) and we delete or anonymize the following within 30 days, except where a record must be retained under section 2.3:

  • Files you uploaded: documents, specification sheets, CSVs, and photos.
  • Your conversation history with the AI assistant.

2.3 Retained

  • Billing, payment & tax records: retained for the minimum period required by applicable Indian tax and accounting law (up to 8 years), after which they are deleted.
  • Records from completed transactions: quotes, orders, and the documents and messages you exchanged with suppliers or buyers form part of the other business's records. These are retained for that counterparty and for legal compliance, with your personal identifiers removed from your side of the account.
  • Crash & performance diagnostics held by our monitoring provider (Sentry) expire automatically, typically within about 90 days, and are not used to identify you once your account is anonymized.
  • Anonymized or aggregated data that no longer identifies you may be retained to operate and improve the platform.

4. Deleting Some Data Without Deleting Your Account

You do not have to close your account to remove specific information. Email privacy@getsauda.com from your account email describing what you would like removed, for example:

  • a specific document, CSV, or photo you uploaded;
  • your phone number or profile photo;
  • a particular conversation.

We action these requests within 30 days. Records tied to completed transactions or required for legal and tax compliance (section 2.3) may be retained even when the rest of your account stays active.
